One of the survivors of the Holocaust is buried in Nottingham Road cemetery, Feliks Stefan Kurnatowski.
He was a Major of the Polish Army and a prisoner in Grossrosen & Flossenburg concentration camps in Germany in 1944 -1945. The Flossenburg camp was liberated in April 1945.
More information about Holocaust Memorial Day can be found at www.hmd.org.uk.
Feliks came to England and died at the Manor Hospital on 29th November 1970.
