Died 03/01/1941, Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, Age 28. Sapper, Royal Engineers, Service Number 1940911. Son of William and Annie Falconer, of Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire.

Robert Charles Swift Falconer was born 09th January 1912 at 2 London Street, Belfast, County Antrim.

Charles grew up in Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire, Scotland with his parents William Falconer and his wife Annie Swift.

Charles was the eldest of six children, Marion (1913-1983), Leslie (1915-1916), Leslie (1917-1974), Jane (1919-1919) and Eileen (1921-2006).

Charles was based with the Royal Engineers in 1940 in Derby, England. He suffered serious injuries in a car accident on December 28th 1940 and succumbed to his injuries on 3rd January 1941 at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary.

The inquest that took place in Derby on 6 January 1941 concluded with a verdict of "Accidental Death."

Charles Falconer is interred in Plot 20306 at Nottingham Road Cemetery in Derby.
