Nottingham Road Cemetery Volunteer Days

Can you help the Friends with tasks to improve the cemetery appearance and environment?

Activities will be a mixture of litter picking, grave tidying, bramble clearing, bulb planting, CWGC headstone cleaning etc.

Work will be appropriate to the season.

We always meet in the main cemetery car park at 9am. Finish at lunch unless you want to stay longer.

Litter picking equipment is available but please bring your own gloves.

We have some garden tools, but if you have loppers or shears etc,you can bring your own to use. We do not use power tools.

Does your employer allow days off to volunteer in the Community? If so please consider working with us.

Volunteers at the 11th April 2026 session

The cemetery staff drill the holes and then we put in the posts and the concrete. We have had all of the zone markers 3D printed funded by grants from Derby Association of Community Partners and Foundation Derbyshire.
